Stefan Schöberlein is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Iowa, the managing editor of the Walt Whitman Quarterly Review, and a research assistant for the Whitman Archive. Stefan’s scholarship has appeared in journals such as American Literature, Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, and American Literary Realism. He has recently published a translation of Whitman’s Jack Engle into German (Das Kuturelle Gedächtnis, 2017).
