Jean-Thomas Tremblay

Jean-Thomas Tremblay holds a Ph.D. in English and Gender & Sexuality Studies from the University of Chicago. In the fall of 2018, they will serve as assistant professor of twentieth- and twenty-first-century American fiction and film at New Mexico State University. They have edited a special issue of New Review of Film and Television Studies titled “Breath: Image and Sound.” Their writing has appeared in CriticismPost-45 Peer-ReviewedWomen & Performance: a journal of feminist theoryCritical InquiryPublic BooksArcade, and Review 31. They are at work on a study of the aesthetics and politics of breathing in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
