An audio collection curated and annotated by critic Jeremy Glazier offers readers the chance to explore musical settings of poetry beyond those of Elliott Carter. This mini-anthology of recent works by Carter’ s contemporaries and younger composers of new music features works based on poems by Elizabeth Bishop, John Ashbery, Pablo Neruda, John Donne, T. S. Eliot, Mark Doty, Jackson Mac Low, Louise Labé, Gertrude Stein, Paul Celan, Eino Leino, and János Pilinszky.
